The Sacrosanct Oracle//Composition Deck is a collection of resource-based oracle messages that double as indeterminate graphic scores. Composed to uphold folx of marginalized gender identities, the cards offer space to assess, access, cultivate, claim, and share resources to dismantle the binary, gender-based cultural conditioning of patriarchal power structures as we forge our own paths forward. When read musically, each card invokes a songspell, an intention that holds space for infinite possibility translated letter for letter into musical phrases that manifest transformation through the process of deep listening.

Created by toychestral electroacoustic composer-performer Alexa Dexa, Sacrosanct holds 50 hand-drawn and digitally colored oracle//composition cards measuring 3.5” x 5.75” and an altar card featuring a spell for synchronicity.

Accessing music as transformative self-care through the Sacrosanct Oracle//Composition Deck requires only a mechanism for generating sound and connection to experimentation and play. Formal musical training is not necessary.
